Features not Available When Offline
If you happen to lose internet connection then there are some areas of the application that will not be available. The following features are not available whilst the internet is down.
- Changing Resident information
- Changing Resident Orders
- All administrative functions, such as changing your password, changing settings, adding new users ... etc
When the internet is down, you won’t be able to get updates to orders from your pharmacy either. They may make the changes in their software, but you won’t see them until the connection is restored and those changes have synchronized up with your computer.
During a medication round, the data between the server and your computer is synchronized frequently, more precisely, whenever there are transactions pending. Medication Management checks for pending transactions every 30 seconds.
Note: Whilst working offline, data relating to the med round is not backed up and secure until your internet connection is restored and the data is sent to the primary data server.
